Interview

Why do you care?

I care because I want future generations to have the opportunity to enjoy nature in all its diversity the way I did growing up.

What makes you tick?

Sustainable design in building rehabilitation, as well as the knowledge that I'm helping to reduce the amount of energy needed to run our planet and, by association, the amount of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere.

What inspires you?

Hard work and a feeling of accomplishment.

How do you think of yourself?

A small part of a larger movement that will bring about the paradigm shift needed to save our planet.

Why are you an ecobabe?

Because my husband says I am, and, let's face it, working for the betterment of the environment is hot.

How do you stay positive and inspired?

My husband, JM, and Election Day 2006!

How do you deal with bad moods and beat the blues?

I go for a run in West County with my dogs and anyone else willing to join me. Nothing beats getting back to nature.

Do you have any confessions?

I drive a Toyota 4 Runner. I know, it's awful, and I plan to trade it in for a hybrid, but I've wanted one for so long.

What do you do alone?

Yoga, read, and do homework.

What crazy thing have you done?

I married an Italian from New Jersey!

Who are your role models?

Every single person that makes a change in their lives and habits to benefit the environment.

How do you envision the future?

Green and running on alternatives to fossil fuels.

How are you helping to get there?

By ensuring that my everyday activities continue to improve our future.
